Volunteer with Wayside
From cooking, to setting up community meals, to working in our warehouse and making pick ups and deliveries, there is much to be done at Wayside, and we couldn't do it without our volunteers. We are very fortunate to have a vast network of volunteers - 350 people volunteered with Wayside in 2022 alone! As a result of this incredible support, our current volunteer needs are relatively limited.

Meet Louise!

Meet Louise! She has been volunteering at Wayside for nearly a decade! Her unwavering dedication to our organization and community is truly remarkable, and we are so grateful for her exceptional work ethic and giant heart.

Meet Marcelo! He enjoys helping others. He volunteers weekly, collecting food donations, organizing the warehouse, and assisting partner agencies with their pick-ups. In addition, he shops for his community and personally delivers the food. We are so grateful for his support!

Court Ordered Service
Wayside has some openings for court mandated volunteers. If you are looking to fulfill court ordered community service hours, please call our office at 207-775-4939. Please note that volunteer shifts for community service hours are only available Monday - Thursday from 7-2:30 p.m. and Friday from 7-12 p.m.
