We do not make this decision lightly as strengthening our community by enjoying a meal together is a fundamental cornerstone of our program, but we do so with the health, safety, and comfort of all community members in mind.We will be updating our Community Meals schedule daily as decisions are made with our partner host sites. We are taking the lead from leading public health agencies and authorities and have prepared contingency plans if necessary. While we are taking the spread of the virus very seriously, we are also considering the community members who rely on us for food. Currently our Community Meals, Mobile Food Pantries, and Senior Box Distributions are proceeding as scheduled. However, we are taking steps to make sure this sharing of food is as safe, healthy, and enjoyable as possible for our staff, volunteers, and all community members and have plans in place as necessary. Following the recommendations of public health authorities, we have taken this opportunity to reiterate our service guidelines to our partner host sites and all volunteers, which includes strictly enforced hygiene techniques.
